Corpus Callosum

With more than 200 million nerve fibers, this structure is the largest and most important connective pathway between the brain’s left and right hemispheres. The Corpus Callosum makes it possible for each half of the brain to communicate and coordinate the myriad of movements, thoughts and emotions triggered each and every moment during our lifetime.

In this Neuroslicer video, you can see the profound impact of what happens when the Corpus Callosum is intentionally severed in order to treat epilepsy.
